About Us

Airdrie Minor Football began operating in 1995 with one team playing in the Calgary Bantam Football Association. Over the past 26 years of continuous operations, we have introduced many young athletes to the sport of football.  From the outset, Airdrie Football has combined a love of the sport with the ethics of developing young people as responsible citizens, students, and athletes.

Airdrie Minor Football has grown significantly over the past 26 years, culminating in the present day 2021 structure of a total of 5 teams and 2 House leagues split between the divisions of Atom (1 team with 30 players) Peewee (2 team with 40 players), Bantam (1 team with 40 players) Spring Football (1 team with 55+ players) Flag Football (16 teams totaling 160+ players) and Novice (4 teams totaling 35+ players). 25 teams means each season, more than 500 young athletes playing football.

Three organizations work together to make all of this happen.

Airdie Football Society operates our Flag Football League.

Airdrie Storm operates the Novice House League, Atom, and Pee Wee teams.

Airdrie Raiders operate the Bantam, and Spring League teams.

The Airdrie Minor Football Family strives to set standards and expectations of excellence in everything we do. Communicate with honesty, transparency and regularity to both parents and players. We are most proud of the fact that Airdrie Football players learn the benefits of teamwork & striving for goals while competing within a safe, supportive environment surrounded by teammates and friends.

All Airdrie Minor Football Coaches are Safe Contact Certified through Football Canada.

Success Begins and Builds on Fundamentals.
