WE DO NOT CHAPERONE PLAYERS!! PARENTS MUST ACCOMPANY THEIR PLAYERS TO THE TOURNAMENT
What age groups will be offered?
How much is it to register for the Winter Tournament Team and is there a refund policy?
AIRDRIE ECLIPSE ATHLETE TRAINING works with players ages 8-18.
Programs will be setup by age and they will be as follows:
10U: Players born 2015 to December 31 2016
12U: Players Born 2013 to June 30 2015
14U: Players Born 2011 to June 30 2013

Varsity: Players Enrolled in Grade 12, 11, 10 as of September 2026.

WE WILL CARRY A MAXIMUM OF 40 PLAYERS PER TEAM & MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 25 PLAYERS. IF WE HAVE MORE THAN 40 PLAYERS REGISTER FOR A TEAM WE WILL HAVE TO EVALUATE AND MAKE CUTS.

OUR TEAM NEEDS ARE VERY SPECIFIC AT EACH POSITION AND NOT EVERY PLAYER WHO REGISTERS WILL AUTOMATICALLY MAKE THE TEAM REGARDLESS OF ROSTER SPACE. THIS TOURNAMENT IS VERY PHYSICAL AND FAST AND WE NEED TO MAKE SURE PLAYERS WHO MAKE THE TEAMS CAN CONTRIBUTE.
Your division eligibility is based on your birthday. Depending on the amount of players registered we will sometimes have the ability to move players up or down an age bracket.
2026/27 Airdrie EclipseTeam Fees:
Varsity: $500 + $300 Equipment Deposit
14U: $500 + $300 Equipment Deposit
12U: $400 + $300 Equipment Deposit
10U: $300 + $300 Equipment Deposit
*Team fees must be paid in full by NOVEMBER 30TH 2026. If you already play for the Airdrie Storm Atom or Peewee team the Equipment Deposit is not required
REFUND POLICY: Refunds that are requested after you have been selected to play for the Winter Tournament Team are as follows:

Full Refunds can be granted up to November 30th

If a refund is requested after the November 30th deadline, Fees will be returned minus a $150 Admin Fee

There will be no refunds issued after our first Indoor practice has been completed in December except in the case of extenuating circumstances.

*Extenuating Circumstances after Final Practice has ended. (Travel ban due to weather, Player Injury, Global Pandemic, etc.) Refunds will be given less 60% of total Team fees for Team Administration (Practice Rental, Insurance, etc.) as well as jerseys and other equipment specific to each child, will have already been ordered.
ALL EQUIPMENT IS PROVIDED BY ECLIPSE ATHLETIC TRAINING
All football equipment is provided, with the exception of cleats, gloves and mouth guards which is the responsibility of the player. The team collects a $300 equipment deposit that is returned to you during equipment return.

All Players will be equipped with Certified NOCSAE APPROVED HELMETS that are either brand new or have been recently Reconditioned. Helmets we use:

-Riddel Speed

Players will also be equipped with Xenith Shoulder Pads & 7 Piece Girdles.

*Equipment pickup will take place during the first two weeks of December. Players are only permitted to wear equipment from their Club Team programs if they have written approval from their Head Coach.

What if I get Wait Listed for the Winter Tournament Team??
You get added to the wait list by age group. Players are placed on a team who loses a player from its original roster. If you refuse to join that team you will be dropped to the bottom of the wait list for that age group. NO EXCEPTIONS!
When & Where does the Winter Tackle Team season take place?
How many games/practices will kids receive?
The AIRDRIE ECLIPSE practices will all take place in Airdrie, Alberta at the following facilities on Sunday August 10th 2025 and than the last week of December and first week of January.

​​The 6th Annual Battle on The Prairies Tournament runs from Tuesday January 5th 2027 to Sunday January 10th 2027 and will take place in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan.

What does each player receive with their paid registration?
Each player receives and gets to keep their Home & Away Jersey with their name on it, and Team Hoodie

What is NOT covered with paid registration?
The season will consist of TWO outdoor August Practices, & SIX Indoor Practices in December and the first weekend in January. The Battle on the Prairies Tournament guarantees every team will play at least 2 games and does their best to get every team a 3rd game.
*All Players will PLAY a minimum of 50% of Tournament Games in their position

**THE FALL SEASON PRACTICE/MEET & GREET WILL BE NON EQUIPMENT. PLAYERS WILL LEARN AMERICAN RULES & OFFENSIVE & DEFENSIVE SYSTEMS. PRACTICE WILL BE 90 MINUTES. !!NON CONTACT PRACTICE!! These practices may also be used for team tryouts if we have a large number of registered players.

Players need plan to arrive in Moose Jaw by Monday January 4th as games will be getting played as early as 8:30am on Tuesday January 5th.

Each family is responsible for the following expenses to participate on the Winter Tackle Tournament Team that are NOT covered by the Team Fees.

-Travel costs to and from the Practices and the Tournament
-Hotel costs
-Food Costs
​
The average price families have paid the past 3 years we have attended the Tournament for Travel, Hotel & Food for the Tournament in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan. $1500-$1750. Attending this tournament is similar to the cost of a 5 day Family Vacation.

Hotels avg. Rate per night $135-$185. Our Team has reserved blocks of rooms for our families at a couple of different hotels. The details will be emailed to you once you make the team, so that you can book ASAP.
Who will be refereeing games?
All referees will consist of paid, trained and certified officials from the Regina Football Officials Association.
Who will the coaches be?
All coaches are certified through the NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program) and have an up-to-date PRC with a Vulnerable Sector Check. Each coach is actively coaching and in good standing with their respective league.
Most of our coaches come from the Airdrie Football Programs, along with talented coaches from nearby community and high school football teams.
How many players will be on on a team and on the field at one time during game play?
Teams will consist of 25 to 40 players. All games will consist of 11 players on offense vs. 11 players on defense playing American 4 Down Football with no Special Teams. *All Players will PLAY a minimum of 50% of Tournament Games in their position
