The Airdrie Storm Peewee Football Team is a member of the Calgary and Area Peewee Football Association (CPFA). Players compete in 12 man football using Canadian Football League rules

Culture & Philosophy

Provide a Safe Environment for young players to develop in tackle football.

All Players will PLAY a minimum of 50% of Regular Season Games in their specific position. Playing time during playoffs is based on Regular Season Performance.

We field 2 Competitive teams each year that carry a maximum of 40 roster players on our 12 man teams that play in the Calgary Peewee Football League. Tryouts are held in June each year for these teams.

We do our best to accommodate Hockey and Basketball players during their Team tryouts. We allow players to skip Football practices & Games if necessary for Tryouts ONLY. Once tryouts have been completed players are not allowed to skip Football Games for their other sport and must attend the two FULL EQUIPMENT practices every week to be eligible for games.

Equipment
All football equipment is provided, with the exception of cleats, gloves & mouth guards, which is the responsibility of the player

All Players will be equipped with Xenith or Riddell Helmets that are NOCSAE certified and on the approved NFL Helmet list.

Practices
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 6:00 - 8:30 pm
*Players must attend Wednesday & Thursday Full Equipment practices to play in games
All practices are in Airdrie, Alberta

Season
The U13-Peewee football season starts the first weekend of June, with our Combine & Skills Camp. We will than run SHELLS ONLY Equipment Practices Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday for 2 weeks in June. We do not Practice or run any programs during the month of July. Fall Practices will begin Tuesday August 4th right after the Long Weekend and the season runs until Saturday October 31st.
