After Smoke from the BC wildfires cancelled practices, and the Airdrie Peewee Storm's opening game. Teams were starting to wonder if they would ever get to play. Smoke also caused the cancellation of the 9th annual Calgary Minor Football Charity Jamboree in support of #RonaldMcDonaldHouseCharities. The Airdrie Storm and Airdrie Raiders football teams just wrapped up their Spring Camps. Registration numbers are way up at all levels, and the coaches and kids are excited for Fall to arrive. 2018 is a year of change and bright beginnings for the Airdrie Minor Football programs. The Bantam Raiders appointed a new head coach Doug Robertshaw. Robertshaw brings a lot of playing experience and energy with him. He was also a referee with the Calgary Football Officals Association
